Forest v Cardiff.

Recommended Posts

We played awful, no cutting edge, no attacking threat. All shots were from outside the box, we lost everything in the air at the back.

poor showing

That kids is a lesson in how not to cross and shoot.  Barely beat the first man on the cross and looked like we were playing rugby.  Although it might have been easier if they hadn't gone to sleep for their goal.

2 points better off than after 18 games last season.

It was about this time last season when our bad run started, 1 win in 8. Need to keep our heads up and carry on doing what we've been doing so far this season.

31 shots 17 off target 12 blocked and 2 on target. Not going to go up or make the play offs if we don't sort this problem out of lack of shots in target. Especially at home we should be peppering the goal.

It's not the shots on target that's the problem Rick, it's the fact that all those shots were from outside the box, which suggests a bigger problem....no attacking threat. No penetration.

Yeah agree with that if we end up having 10 shots on target and they are all into the keepers arms we may as well have not had them. We don't create enough clear cut chances and when we do like grabban has over the past couple of weeks we don't take them  although a good victory on Wednesday until the last 10 mins when the 10 men of QPR were tiring, how many shots had we actually had on target? Figgys goal from the corner... Can't think of anymore, grabban on weak foot from 25 yards trickling into keepers arms..

We must be towards the bottom of the league for 1 on 1's created and taken, and players being slipped in through channels of defenders to have shots on goal

Still Lamouche will be off to Arsenal anyway 😉

Folk on here were moaning when we won games with a low possession stats. We had 69% possession today. Happy now?

Concerning all the shots we take from outside the box, I read somewhere that Lamouche told the players to shoot on site and that he didn't mind if the ball went out the ground.

Possession isn't the problem, it's what you do with that possession that matters.
