Lamouchi

He's won it... Hopefully not a curse!

I was sceptical at first, but we seem to be going on the right direction. Defensively better, better from set pieces, more resolute and he seems like he is commited to reducing the squad size.

The top six will still be a massive ask this season

Decent manager who is very honest in his assessments of each game, which is a breathe of fresh air in this day and age.

Congrats

Same Thommo.  It's usually the sign of a sacking.

I think he's great.  On the face of it he's got a limited squad but is getting the absolute best out of what he has.

Thoroughly deserved. He’s been a complete breath of fresh air. He doesn’t try to bullshit anyone and he appears to genuinely appreciate the history and significance of the club to the fans. You get the sense that the players wholeheartedly buy into what he’s trying to do also which has been a rarity over the past decade and beyond.

Been rumoured that a Prem club is eyeing him up.

My money would be on Everton.

EM won't allow it plus I doubt Lamouchi would not see this project through

Think it's quite a step for a prem club to take. Even if he gets us up it's a punt on a manager brand new in England. It may be a good punt for prem clubs to take or it might be too much of a punt. Hopefully marinakis will sort this out anyway and get home tied down. Early days though let's see where we are at christmas

Depends. If someone else offers him more cash and security then he'd be a fool to turn it down, same as any player.

He's done enough to earn a longer deal now.

Emery has gone and a few others could follow in the PL. It could lead to a few opportunities for Lamouchi - Obviously not Arsenal - but if Nuno/Howe went to Arsenal, then perhaps a Wolves/Bournemouth could be interested.

Blimey I don’t know if he has proven himself to walk into Wolves or Bournemouth just yet - we lost to Hull and Wigan a few weeks back

I reckon Bilic or Bielsa would be way in front of him but agree he deserves a 2 year deal

According to reports, #NFFC Head Coach Sabri Lamouchi has rejected an approach from Watford as the Premier League club looks for a new manager.

I don't blame him. Anyone already in a decent job would be crazy to go to Watford. They're going down and will probably go through another 2 managers before the season's out.

Have Bilic and Biesla rejected them too? 😉

Would be an impossible job, not surprised he has turned it down, especially given how they treat managers too.

He hasn't proved anything yet but done alright in 18 games. It does make me laugh how folk nowadays get carried away with both adulation and derision of both players and managers. Hopefully we'll finally finish a season with the same manager we started it with and see how he's done after 38 games.

Without being funny I don't think a Premier League would watch a game of ours and think that SL is the man they want. Our style of play is acceptable as long as it's getting results but if it wasn't (as it more than likely wouldn't in the Prem) it would be awful to watch.

I think we are only 1 or 2 points better off than last season. The away form is better but the home form isn’t great so maybe they will go after Karanka as well

A few whispers that if we don’t get something away to Hull and then fair to win at home to Wigan that the owner will act before the transfer window

no wins in 5 now 😳

let’s hope it is a manager that has been successful in this league before who gets to choose his own players (who have played in this league before) if it does happen

Not surprised at all but if it does happen who the fuck do you go for?!

I would be really disappointed to see him go, we need to ride this storm
