I’m guessing this is more managers.

not getting too wound up. To many bad days at the office so not really surprised that the owner wasn’t happy. This looked to be his level and progress felt like it would come more by luck than judgement.

i get the call for stability and want stability but I wonder if we hadn’t already gone through a shitload of managers in past years would we have been so tolerant of AK.

Anyway it’s all academic now. He’s gone . Long live the king (and no, not mad fucking Billy)

That must be from someone who's just trying to annoy you.

I hope to god that you're right mate, as I don't want him.

I don't know what I would think about Rowett until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal. We could do better but we could do worse. Would be fun when we play Derby as well to see their hatred :thumbsup_anim:

he would have to sort out those fucking Claire Rainers though

Didn't do much at Stoke, Jamie, and their fans hated his "over cautious" football.

If only we put a half arsed effort into scouting the right manager. We took aitor on knowing that he threw his dummy out the pram at Boro but yet still employed him. I just wonder how much really goes into getting to know a manager. It seems as though these days clubs are so fast to get somebody in that they fly into England one day have an interview then the next day they are announced. Maybe we should look at our recruitment process first. Rather than blame a manager when they fail...

Amen to that.

Headline says we're looking for our 11th full-time manager since 2011. Reality is we're looking for our first full-time manager since 2011.

Jokanovic has form for getting teams up, I imagine he's happy to have an owner who tells him who to pick so he might be a perfect fit.  As long as he doesn't have three bad games in a row.

The first time he came in and saved the club from relegation.

The second time he had unfinished business.

This time, it’s personal.

WE WANT OUR BILLY BACK! WE WANT OUR BILLY BACK!

I've not posted for a few years, but can anyone with access copy and post this please.

I'd like to know what has been going on behind the scenes. Not that the telegraph probably know any more than anyone else.

Hi ken, hi. 😀

Massive money spent

Dour football especially at home

Very average win record

Supposedly thrown his toys out of the pram and has been in a mood in training

No surprise to see him gone. These Greeks are not fucking about. They want promotion and they won't stop until it's done.

Going back 5 years looking at the win percentages of the 6th placed team in the league.

17/18: Derby - 43.4%
16/17: Fulham - 47.8%
15/16: Sheffield Wednesday - 41.3%
14/15: Ipswich - 47.8%
13/14: Brighton - 41.3%

To achieve a similar win % to the lowest figures there in the early 40s we'd have to now win at least half our remaining games (10 from 20) and under AK I'm not sure I could see that happening. We simply drew too many. It's alright being hard to beat and not losing but to go up you need to win games.

Some will no doubt say what about total points including draws, seeing as we're draw specialists but obviously if you have aspirations of a top 6 finish then you need to be doing more than just drawing.

Think about it though, the owners spent the money they have for one reason - promotion. FFP means we can't just spend it each season until we go up. This could be our best shot before we have to reign it in. Failure to win against Reading would mean we have 9 wins from 27 games this season. Only winning 33% of your games does not earn promotion and that is a fact. We simply don't win enough games.

If our current win ratio was to continue for the final 20 games we'd end up with 15 wins. In the last 10 years the lowest number of wins anyone has had to finish 6th has been 19. Teams that win 15 games over a season tend to finish between 9th and 12th. So to get to 19 wins (which tends to be the minimum but is still sometimes not enough) we need to win 10 of our remaining 20 games. Or 10 wins from 19 if we fail to beat Reading.

Given our track record with managers, how about we appoint this one on a 6 month contract initially (like wolves did with Lambert)

We should appoint someone who is available and who can give promotion a good go, but who is to say someone better might not be available in the summer

I know that is the ultimate short termist approach but look at some of the awful managers we've appointed mid-season recently

Cause Marinakis is evern more impatient than our fans who would usually sit through a poor run of four games before demanding the manager's head.
