That's 4 pts we've been screwed out of now by the refs. We'd be right in the mix otherwise.

Totally screwed as well. A blatant dive and a blatant handball that were both there for everyone to see without the need for replays. Four points lost from two abysmal decisions.

I’m still raging about Gayle, the cheating little prick. That I was sat in a pub in Leeds and knew straight away, from the benefit of a tv replay, that it was a blatant dive but the referee at the match was denied this information is little short of a joke.

Now that Gayle has been banned and it’s ‘official’ that he cheated, where’s the recompense given to us? As others have said, those 2 points could be the difference between 6th and 7th.

As an aside, did anyone seen Darren Moore’s mealy-mouthed response? Spineless cunt.

Yea Danny it was obviously all atrocious and I'm pretty glad this site was down at the time as I think we may have sent it into meltdown anyway. Nothing is going to make the fact that we lost 4 points to Leeds and west Brom any better. To try and make me feel better I keep thinking back to grab and pen at Brentford that was also a dive, not that we scored it like so it didn't make a difference and obviously it's different because we scored another anyway and it wasn't like Brentford were ahead till 90th minute and we had the chance to even it up.

Bristol having a bit of a wobble of late. A couple of weeks ago it looked as if they could open up a significant gap above us if they won their games in hand. After their draw against Ipswich however they’re only 2 points above us with both sides having played 36 matches. Tomorrow night could potentially be huge for us.

Sheffield Wednesday seem to have come out of nowhere to mount a late charge. Huge game tonight, I believe if we can break our hoodoo of not winning consecutive games and get a win tonight we might actually be in with a chance this year. Obviously there are 9 more games to go after tonight and as a famous Scotsman from around these parts says ' Natalie, there are tons be lots we twists and lots we turns' but maybe a win tonight could actually get that monkey off our backs. Follow it up with a win away at Ipswich at the weekend and we could be in business heading into the international break.

The season may not yet be a minute old but already I find myself looking forward to 2018/19 with optimism. With Marinakis’ investment and Karanka given the summer to assemble the team he really wants, it will be fascinating to see what kind of a squad we’ll end up with. Will Karanka assemble the squad that will finally return us to the promised land of the Premier League?

It isn’t just on the pitch where we may see change. With ownership and managerial connections to Greece and the Basque Autonomous Community, one wonders where our pre-season trips may take us this summer? Goodbye Ilkeston and Mansfield, hello Piraeus (Olympiakos) and Vitoria-Gasteiz (Alaves)? Speculation, perhaps, but all of a sudden it feels as if our horizons may have been expanded. Passports at the ready?

One change which we know is coming, is the arrival of new kit courtesy of Macron. If they do as good a job for us as they have with certain other European clubs, I for one will very much look forward to pulling on the Garibaldi.

There really is so much to look forward to next season and I can’t wait to follow all the action both at the matches and here with you fine people on Forestfans.net!

On the last day of the 2017/18 season, I started this thread with the above post filled with genuine optimism about what this season would bring. Today is the last day of the 2018/19 season and I'm sorry to say that all the optimism and enthusiasm has been beaten out of me.

Even the new kits turned out to be rubbish.

Don't even know if I'll bother next season. Whoever is running the club or is picking the team doesn't seem to matter at the City Ground, for reasons I can't fathom we seem stuck in the same cycle of sign players - show flashes of promise whilst somewhat under performing - lose manager mid-season - limp to a mid table finish - REPEAT.

Think I might be looking further afield for my sporting kicks next season.

Good post and sums it up for me. I am running my sons team at the moment and it has given me so much more enjoyment than Forest this last year. There must be 50 players at Forest and next season no doubt there will be another load of leeches

fuck the lot of them

End of last season, in the 3-0 win over Barnsley on Pearce's birthday.

So a player pushing 30, with a handful of appearances in three years, and who'd been unemployed for six months turned out to be a bit of a dud? What a shock. The only surprise is that he doesn't have another three years left on his deal.
