Substantial Infrastructure Projects mentioned in his open letter to supporters ( Nicholas Randall QC today ) ??

Could it be , at long last there are plans to demolish and rebuild the main stand ?. Hopefully all will soon be revealed ..

The owner is carrying a fair bit of timber. Strengthening the seats in the Directors Box will be an infrastructure project in itself.

Was wondering that when reading the statement. Look forward to hearing more. Some serious ambition at the club these days. Although I dont see the point in rebuilding the main stand at least until we are a stabilised Premier League club.

I do.

If we go up, we need to be a Prem club, both on and off the pitch.

Can you imagine building a new stand when "we're established" in the Prem? A full season with a reduced capacity of about 22k? Nah, do it now.

Plus the likelihood is you'd be back down after a year so your brand spanking new stand would be ready just in time for the visit of Shrewsbury the season after.

Let's get it done now, at least we could be closer to the top of "championship attendances league" Much more realistic than getting back into the Prem.

I've heard rumours about this. Mind you, i've heard lots of rumours. It would be good if true. We can put on some decent hospitality at the City Ground. Our current venues seem a little dated, so say the least. It would be good to have hospitality boxes you can sit outside. Surely this could help our financial fair play income too.
