Reports today in Portugese media that the club are keen to complete the deal for Figueiredo. The deal is said to be a £1.7m fee and includes a buy back option (set fee & first option) and a 20% sell on clause.

I believe the deal was to become permanent whether Forest liked it or not, once Figueiredo made 6 starts.

Excellent although the set fee concerns me. If he continues as he has do they have something in place to see they can buy him for an agreed amount of say 2m? That is not so good

If we are paying £1.7m for him plus the 200k loan fee, I very much doubt the buy back would be £2m.

Buy back fees are usually set at the purchase price or slighty above purchase price. It turns the deal into a glorified loan.

Worst came senario is that Figueiredo has a stormer next season, then gets recalled to Sporting to sell onto someone else for a profit. I hope our negotiation team can find some wiggle room as I've no doubt this lad could be a performer for years to come.
