Typical Forest to go 1-0 down to team in 5 minutes that hasn't scored for four games.  I think you have to be pretty shit to lose to a Cotterill team.

Ha all these people saying we should be play off contenders on the back of a 4-0 win. Then we lose 1-0 and its ' we are a mid table team' E.R your comments are about as consistent as forests performances over the last 5 seasons. Yes we are a mid table team and we will end up a mid table team so either accept it. Like i said from the start of Warburton's tenure 12th will be our finishing position this season

Which is fine isn't it? We stayed up on goal difference last season.

Tell that to the poor cunts that went I spose

But yes - I suppose at Sheffield United they said the first year back we should just consolidate. Yet it hasnt stopped them going for promotion and the performance sounded terrible against a very ordinary Birmingham team

The inconsistency is pissing me off.

I think we've shown, with victories against the likes of Sheff Utd, Middlesborough, and the demolition of QPR, that we could be a top 6 team.

Then you look at the defeat today, those against Barnsley, Fulham, and Reading. and you'd have to say we could easily be down near the drop zone.

There doesn't seem to be any middle ground with Forest. We're either very good, or we're shit. It's frustrating as fuck.

It's frustrating when we concede early in so many games, especially against shit like Birmingham who are happy to just grind out a result if they go a goal up.

We really are a mid table team

I'd have taken that in August. Longer term is key. This season is more about stability.

Stayed up on goal difference, sold our top scorer, people expect play offs. Manic.

I know in the Championship any one of about 15 sides could hit a good run of form and scrape into the top six but anyone who's really expecting the play offs has lost sight of what's been happening at Forest. We've been an utter shambles for the last decade - a different manager every few months, a bloated squad full of journeymen, a wage bill double the size it should be, our best players are sold and replaced by five inferior ones, decent players are let go for no reason, random new ones we don't even need come in, a permanent oversized and unbalanced squad with dozens of players coming and going with no plan or any idea what our first choice team should be how they should play etc etc. It's been a total joke. And that's just what we can see, imagine the farce that will have been going on behind the scenes.

We're lucky to still be in this league - most clubs who are run that badly for that long go down. This season should be all about establishing a settled team, an established pattern of play, trimming the squad, and building for the future. If we finish midtable with some kind of team identity, get rid of a load of deadwood, and start next season with the same manager it will be a big step in the right direction.

Cannot fault this post. We have been an absolute shambles for years. This season we seem to be managed better and have moved away from the threat of League One.

Yep agree with all that however it is clear that the squad he has could, with a bit of consistency, be around the play offs. Nothing wrong with a bit of hope nor some upset when you lose

I just dont see what is so wrong with wanting a bit more rather than this losing is fine and clapping off millionaire players who have gone missing because we should be grateful it is a bit better than last year attitude the fans seem to revert too every time a shit team beats us

You're spot on with this post Art, and I think we all realise what a shambles we have been.....especially under the ownership of Fawaz.

But, I cannot help but to agree with ER's post below.

I just don't know why Warburton picks Darikwa , the blokes a liability !. Our defence is on tenterhooks when he plays and we keep conceding soft goals ..

Seems to me that if we score 1st we win otherwise we struggle . We need a commanding physical presence in midfield to boss our young lads and dictate play ..

There is a forgotten , nay almost forbidden word , which means more to me than any other . That word is ENGLAND

There must be an issue with Velios - with Murf out he still cannot make the squad yet you would imagine he would be the type of striker we needed Saturday

He's been absolutely dire in the U23 games, giving Warburton absolutely no reason to select him for the first team squad.
We're back and we're coming for ya.
