I found out about the death of Soundgarden lead singer Chris Cornell somewhat late as I've been working away from home this week. Very sad. He had a majestic voice and his lyrics had a meaning to them that really resonated with me as a moody teenager. I was lucky enough to see Soundgarden at Download in 2012, they played a great set including some of their early songs from Louder Than Love. Glad I made the effort given what emerged this week.

Was anybody else a fan? I seem to remember Faceman writing about seeing Soundgarden when they were touring the Badmotorfinger album?

Great singer. He had a belting voice, such a shame he's gone.

:( That's Wood, Cobain, Staley, Weiland, and Cornell. Eddie Vedder must be getting worried....

I'm going to post this as a kind of tribute. T'was written by Cornell when Andrew Wood (Mother Love Bone) died but I suppose it's appropriate.
