Following the run away success of my Championship Chat thread I thought we could do with a general discussion thread in here, so here it is.

So if you want to talk about Naked Attraction an interesting series you just watched or whatever but it's not worth starting a new thread you can pop it in here. Go on then, someone post something.......

I'm watching Homeland at the moment from Series one.

I was a bit late coming to the first series so am trying to pick it up again. Didn't realise how often the women in it were getting their norks out. You'd have to be a bit quick on the draw and have the tissues close by to make something of that so it only gets a Kleenex score of 3.

Homeland is pure quality. Gets much much better season 2 onwards.

House of cards is amazing. Kevin Spacey oozes class

The series I liked best from this year was Vinyl, based on the music business in the 70's.  Made by Martin Scorcese and it's pretty damn good.

I watched the first two series of Homeland and then sacked it off, obviously got it the wrong way round.

Homeland is great, they are very good at putting the show in new situations - my only complaint is the sheer volume of scenes of just Claire Danes crying :) It was renewed yesterday for a further 3 seasons.

I really liked Person Of Interest. It's finished this year after 5 seasons but it had a proper ending so recommend watching it to anyone that missed it. Channel 5 had the rights over here and they kept showing it at around 11pm on a weeknight with no advertising for some reason so no-one was going to watch it in the UK.

Who throws a shoe. Honestly!

I was at the sports centre the other week and there was a guy there going on and on about Homeland basically talking through the entire plot. I walked past him again about 15 minutes later and he was still going, the bloke he was talking to looked as bored as anyone I've ever seen. Despite that I'll add it to my 'to see' list.

I watched The Fall - It's a serial killer based drama following the killer and the police. I thought it was pretty well done, not up with the best American dramas but for a British effort pretty good. A lot better than Broachurch, that everyone was raving about, which I found to be a bit crap.

I managed two series of Homeland before giving up. It was good but I just got sick of seeing that bloody woman crying. The first series is one of the best pieces of tele I've seen though.

I'm not one for series in general as I tend to lose interest quickly. I think the only show I've ever watched in its entirety is Only Fools & Horses.
When I say "Go!", you say "Weeble!".

"Go!"...

Actually watched a couple last night and it may have to be sacked off

The acting is fucking terrible and they are one of the gayest bunch you have ever seen.

They had a shootout last night when they started up a new chapter in Nevada and the Mayans turned up.

Machine guns, pistols and all ten foot from each other - one person got a nick on the arm and the Mayans ran away :thumbsdown_still:

It's horrific ER. It gets much worse as well. Entire show is based on one ward in a hospital where births, deaths and shootings occur, only one nurse in attendance for all of the above. Then it's the "clubhouse" which is wank, or the body shop.

I watched about five episodes of it, dreadful programme.  My mrs has been watching Vikings which means I have too.  Would have potential if it wasn't so watered down.  Also, the lead character seems to have a trademark face he makes every time something happens in a scene he's in which is very annoying.

I quite liked Vikings. It gets a shit load of money pumped into it in season 3 and it gets even more watered down then.

Good series though, worth a watch.

Leaving aside the historical aspect, I'd describe it as like the Game of Thrones but without the tits, fanny, violence and dragons.

There are some tits in it. The birds in it are fit as fuck but shagging in smelly hovels with mud floors isn't really my thing.

nope have given up on Sons - just too shit and could have been very good.

Needs more violence and sex and hard drugs. They are like a wanky bunch of old blokes who fix cars all day

can anyone recommend a good series they have watched?

honestly there are so many of these bounded around these days and they are fucking useless

or worse still seasons 1 and 2 are good and then it goes shit as per true blood, American horror story, homeland

I have watched three sets all the way through sopranos, curb your enthusiasm and eastbound and down - are there any nearly as good as these?

I started Happy Valley last night with Sarah Lancashire that looks quite good

If you've got Net Flix then "The Killing" is pretty good

The Walking Dead is immense.

Have you watched The Wire? A few years old now, but brilliant.
