  1. Following the run away success of my Championship Chat thread I thought we could do with a general discussion thread in here, so here it is. So if you want to talk about Naked Attraction an interesting series you just watched or whatever but it's not worth starting a new thread you can pop it in here. Go on then, someone post something.......

    Forest podcast

I've downloaded a few of these. I might report back when I've had a listen or I might just not mention it again. Depending how it goes......

    Recommend a film

Hello. I've not posted in here in ages. I've seen.... Marrowbone - Four siblings keep a dark secret in order to stay together in horrror drama mystery type thing from the writer of The Orphanage, which I assume everyone has seen and liked. I'll go 6/5/10 Sink - A guy loses his job and has to look after his father. Echos of 'I Daniel Blake' in bleak British drama with a touch of crime. 6/10 A Simple Favour - A single mum makes a new friend who then disappears, she tries to find out what happend in twisty comic drama thriller type thing. A bit too long but I enjoyed that 7/10 Assasinaion Nation - Four girls fight to survive after a hacker starts exposing people's secrets and things get out of hand. Extremely out of hand in satire action thriller type thing. I enjoyed that although it won't be to everyone's tastes 7/10. Although it will be to more people's tastes than....... The Greasy Strangler - A gross father and son live together and do bullshit music tours, they fall for the same woman. Oh yeah and also, at night the father covers himself in grease and murders people. This can be a difficult watch, it's not so much the bad acting, absurd plot, and weird dialogue as the ugly people in bad clothes, the nudity, the horrible music, and the grease. If you've ever found yourself watching early John Waters or Troma films and thought 'I wish this was a bit more disgusting' then this might be for you. Er I'll go....er 6/10? maybe. It's hard to say. Although I would like someone to watch it. Right, I'm off to download Night of the Comet'.....

    Premier League chit chat

Yes, it's Scholes. He took a year out between two spells with Man Utd

    Premier League chit chat

In a effort to inject some life into this section I thought we could do with a thread for general stuff that's not worth a thread of its own so if you want to post something about the weekend's games or abuse Alan Shearer or say how much you like Rooney's new hair or whatever there's somewhere to post.

    Premier League chit chat

No, not a manager (or Les). Two spells at the same club as a player, but in a different way to the rest

    Stoke v Forest

Well, Stoke haven't won in about twenty games so it's almost inevitable they'll start a good unbeaten run with 1-0 win tomorrow. Either that or we absolutely batter them and Jones is sacked the next day.......

    Premier League chit chat

Yes, to those three. Keane at Tottenham, Van Persie started and finished with Feyenoord, Anelka had two spells at PSG. I'll throw in Dion Dublin as he's a bit dubious, he had two spells with Norwich but didn't start a game in the first one. One to go. It's a little bit sneaky......

    Premier League chit chat

Yes to Defoe, Crouch, Fowler, Drogba, Sheringham, and Rooney. Henry is ruled out as he was only on loan is his second time at Arse and that doesn't count in small print so small I didn't actually write it, Beardsley's goals were mostly pre-Premier League, and Cole I think was at Forest as a kid but not as a professional so that doesn't count. One easy one left, the others are tough. The clubs with two spells may not be English....

    Premier League chit chat

Art's Quiz challenge: There are eleven players who have scored 100 premier league goals and have had two spells at the same club. Who they?

Reasons why you HATE the modern game...

I did enjoy Bournemouth and West Ham getting knocked out the cup after putting out weakened teams. They must be hoping to concentrate on their title challlenges.....

    What's Lviv backed today.

Yeah, that's the type you're after, but you're just a couple of weeks too late. I just looked him up and he's £2.30 right now but was £1.10 at the start of September.....

    What's Lviv backed today.

Haaland up 54p after tonight I only really know about England but anyone who follows European football should do well.

    What's Lviv backed today.

They won't be available, it's very top flight focused. I think the only Forest players on there are Carvalho and Lolley (You can email them to request players to be added). It's the right idea though, For example I bought 100 shares in Djenepo (southampton) a couple of weeks ago, then when he scored at the weekend they lept up 15p and have continued to climb since, up over 30p a share already

    What Have You Been Watching?

Yeah, I liked This Country I've just finished watching the first series of The Wire. I've seen it before but it's well worth a rewatch. Recommended.
  16. £6.15 now.... This has gone pretty well so far. Best investments - McGinn, bought 1.20, sold around 1.65 Sterling bought around £5, sold half my shares around 6 Abraham bought 2.20, now worth 3.40. Biggest disaster is Ross Barkley, I'm still sat on 75 shares in that dope as they drop lower and lower. I really thought he'd get the nod as the main attacking midfielder for Chelsea but I should have gone for some in Mount as well as an insurance. Mount must be about £1.50 up

    What's Lviv backed today.

Hello, I'm just going to give https://www.footballindex.co.uk a plug. I joined a couple of months ago and it seems pretty easy to make money. I'll give some advice if anyone signs up (if they want it). Also if you go via the link on topcashback you'll get £16 quid from them when you open a footballindex account and deposit a tenner so you're £6 up before you do anything

Some good points there. I agree with all that.
  19. Hmmm, favourite 80s power ballads..... Obviously Boonie Tyler Total Eclipse is the classic. Not sure if they all count as 'power ballads', but off the top of my head, a few personal favourites are.... I might have a few more later or I might not bother. 50/50 really. I also might google Peter Cetera because I've no idea who that is In too late to be of any interest news it turned out the ACON was on the telebox, t'was on Eurosport....

Does anyone actually want VAR? The desire to bring it in seems to have been lead almost entirely by the media. I'd be interested to know what percentage of actual match attending supporters wanted it

    Fantasy Football

Thanks I've won a bit more than that down the years HB, although it's about twenty years too late for a book, fantasy football's pretty much dead now - The Star, The Mail, The Mirror, The Times, Metro, tffo, Silent Manager, Fantasy League, all the bookmakers, and numerous smaller games have all disappeared over the last 5-10 years. The Sun's always been a shambles and probably not got long left and the Telegraph's on its last legs. Other than FPL there's only really Sky Sports still going strong. That said I am going to take this opportunity to plug newcomers https://www.fanteam.com and https://www.fantasybet.com There's a load of daily/weekly/monthly games and one season long game (which you can still enter and start with the average score or something). They're not really my thing but they seem well run and the prizes go down a lot of places so it's relatively easy to win something.

    Fantasy Football

The Telegraph game is up and running so I've done a mini-league. https://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk/world-cup/home It's free to enter but if you want to be eligible for the big prizes* you'll have to pay a fiver leagues > join a private league > league PIN: 8148308 code: 1865 *obviously you have no chance of winning because I will be winning.

    An Apology

Hello all, nice to be back - I'd almost given up hope there, but I found the email lurking in my spam folder. Meanwhile the endless emails about penis extensions, prescription drugs, and designer handbags continue to flood straight into the inbox. And I've not even got any interest in drugs and handbags..... I had to have a look round at other forums but they're not for me. I even found one and a half I didn't even know existed. Without this place I had no idea what was going on with Forest - it was actually quite relaxing. Although when I turned on the West Brom game I didn't know who half the players were Right, I'm off to have a read what people's thoughts are on all these new signings Martin and Roy have made.......

    The Women's World Cup

That was a ridiculous decision. Even when they showed the replay it wasn't really clear she wasn't touching the line. Certainly can't claim it was a 'clear ond obvious' error to allow it. I hate everything about it but the use of VAR was just about tolerable at the men's World Cup but its use has been pretty awful so far in he women's. If it's like this in the Premier League I can see most people quickly turning against it
