    Nottingham Forest vs Middlesbrough

Nice to see grabban look like he's back in the mood to our a shift in. One thing we have hardly seen this season is people actually running beyond people it was nice to see midfielders and wing backs joining the attack wanting through balls and overlap passes

It's about producing that kind of performance again and again. I've said there's no doubt the boy has talent and skill, some games he has gone missing and filtered into the phrase ' can change the game with a moment of magic' hopefully he can now have a run in the side till end of season and produce that kind of performance regularly which will in turn take the pressure off Lolley. Also obviously carvalho is an intelligent player and the likes of grabban Lolley will play on his kind of wavelength. I also think that formation today worked very well. Modern football needs attacking fullbacks and having Osborn and cash playing full back meant when they actually went forward they have the ability to create something unlike the likes of darikwa always having no end product. 5-0 on aggregate over Boro this season- very nice

What is it with us opting to shoot instead of squaring for a tap in? And are we shooting shit again or is Randolph actually pulling off very good saves?

Brits found his shooting boots over past couple of weeks so fully expect him to bag tonight. 2-1 loss. Brit and Fletcher Lolley for us

You have to admire Norwich, just caught the back end of their game, don't know when their beaten, keep going 100% to the death and vrancic just curled in a beauty on 96 mins to earn a point high pressure moment, we can only admire what Norwich have done this season, oh how brilliant it would be to play like that.

Anyone questioning his team selection is forgetting that Mon has been treating the season over for the past 2/3 games and is trying other people in the team seeing what they have. So I think talking about his team selections for the last 7 games or so of the season is aimless. Apart from Jack colback at left back I can't for the life of me understand why he's doing that. We desperately need the summer and to work on things without playing games.

You need a consistently good, not 'fantastic' team to get out of this division that's it, and we don't have that. We have some good individuals that's as far as it goes, we don't have a 'good' team sheff utd have a 'good' team. No amazing standout individuals like we have with Lolley they all work together and know each other inside out and play as a cohesive unit with a balance of defensive strength and attacking flair. I love the system Chris wilder plays it really works for that squad. Our system, pfffft, men behind the ball, give the good players the ball and hope they conjur up something

What a shame at 11v11 it looked to be a decent game and half a chance of getting something

One thing very clear, we have no goalscorers in this line up, bar Lolley who has 3 close him down everytime he gets the ball there isn't really a goalscorer to count on

Well an improvement without being particularly good. Sheff utd controlling the game but haven't threatened much. Final ball in the last 3rd is letting us down, Yates had a great chance to out cash in (Duno why he didn't) and Murphy dragged a shot wide but we look like we have as much chance as scoring on the counter as sheff utd do pressuring us

I'm at that stage now and it sounds awful but I'm that sick of changing managers and us being a laughing stock I would rather we have 3 seasons of mediocrity with Mon then change manager just so it says we have had a manager for longer than a year. Wagner I agree would be a very good manager for us, doubt we could get him

We had that with warburton, a long term project, a vision, look what happened to him

I liked karanka, he brought unity and the fans seemed to appreciate and get behind him. The thing I liked especially about karanka was the fact that when you went away with the team you could stand there and feel like they were going to give it a real go and take it to teams away from home. We haven't had that at all from O'Neill yet at home or away but to be a successful team you have to have that and I'm sure Mon knows that otherwise why would you be in the job, hopefully this changes in the summer he has stressed about mentality and not being brittle or fragile. I hope he can bring this to the team. He has work to do

Are we saying though that the only chance of someone being 'the right' manager is if he gets off to a good start straight away and pushes us on from the off doing better than the previous manager? How do you know if he's the right manager until you give a reasonable amount of time to them? I'm not saying he is the right manager, I agree that everything so far on the field hasn't filled anyone with positivity but if a manger gets off to a horrible start does that mean they are the wrong man straight away?
