Bit of a strange one considering the abundance of attacking midfielders we have.
Nottingham Forest net Doncaster's James Coppinger on loan
Championship side Nottingham Forest have signed midfielder James Coppinger from Doncaster on loan until January.
The 31-year-old, who spent four years at Newcastle and also had two loan spells at Hartlepool, joined Doncaster from Exeter in 2004.
"I didn't want to lose Copps but these sorts of things happen in football - we have to move on," Rovers boss Dean Saunderstold the club's website.
"I was aware that this type of thing could happen right up to the deadline."
Saunders continued: "I have got plans in motion that, when I can, will allow me to add to the squad further."
Forest ownerFawaz Al Hasawi tweeted: "Welcome to the City Ground to James Coppinger, who has joined us on loan from Doncaster."
