Some of those who have been on this Forum for a good few years may remember me running a Tipster Competition. I haven't run it for about 3 years now, but after some gentle persuasion from Az, (He got me pissed and made me agree to start it again), I have decided to give it another go. If nothing else it livens up the Forum.



COMPETITION RULES.

This years Competition will start on February 4th, and it will finish after the 2012 Champions League final. The winner will be the person with the most money after the final.

Everyone will start with an initial £2000. The maximum stake for any one bet will be £50. When, and I mean when and not if, this is lost you will go into the red.
Whilst in the red you will be allowed £50 a day to bet with. This will remain the case untill you are back in the black.

Betting on live TV greyhounds and 'bet in play' will not be allowed.

Any bets placed after the official start time will be null and void, THAT IS A NAILED ON FACT. Ideally I would like bets placed at least one minute before the start time.

Any bets that are altered after the initial posting of the bet will be settled as per the original bet, unless it is made known to me that the bet has been altered.

I would be grateful if the members could help 'police' the Comp. Obviously I can't check all the odds that are posted, but if anyone sees odds that look too good to be true, please feel free to check on those odds and question the bet.

One thing I was really happy with last season was the craic with you lads. I enjoyed the banter and the piss take....even when I was the butt of it, and the lack of arguments and debates on other matters was refreshing. There is a whole Forum for discussing other matters. Let's keep the Tipster Thread as the Tipster Thread, what is said and done on here stays here.

I would ask all entrants to be active in the Comp. If an account is innactive for an unacceptable amount of time, then I will put a vote to the other members to see if that person should be kicked out of the Comp.

You can use odds from any bookmaker you choose EXCEPT BETFAIR and any other Exchange sites, but please list the odds and the bookmaker giving those odds. I will use Ladbrokes as the default bookmaker for bets not posted with odds. Please try and post odds when placing a bet. It saves me so much time when I don't have to trawl around finding the odds. All horse races will be settled at S.P and E/W on the horses will be settled at one quarter the odds.

Anyone who joins the Comp after the February 4th will start with £500. This will reduce to £100 after the 11th of February. No more entrants will be accepted after the 18th of February.

Right, I don't think I have missed anything, but I am sure someone, (Az, Art) will inform me if I have. Most of all I want you guys to enjoy the Comp.
